The FT and RSG have been investigating innovation in the legal profession in Europe for the last seven years. On December 1st 2010, we published the first US edition of the FT Innovative Lawyers Report, which was preceded by a launch event at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Last year, we published the second edition with a launch reception at the Museum of Art and Design in New York.  Topping the most innovative law firms ranking overall was Skadden Arps in year one and Davis Polk in year two.

This year, we received over 250 submissions from 52 law firms, including 60% of the AmLaw 50. The report highlights examples of out-of-the-box lawyering where lawyers have made key contributions to business. It gives the reader an insight into what they can expect from lawyers working at the leading edge of their practices.
