Innovation

FTIL North America

The FT and RSG have been investigating innovation in the legal profession in Europe for the last seven years. On December 1st 2010, we published the first US edition of the FT Innovative Lawyers Report, which was preceded by a launch event at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. This year we expanded the coverage to include Canada and Mexico in our first North America report and also held the first awards event for the region.

For the FT Innovative Lawyers 2014 North America report, 448 submissions and nominations were received and RSG Consulting interviewed and sought feedback from 437 clients, lawyers and experts to arrive at the final rankings. Submissions were received from 66 law firms and an additional 61 in-house teams were researched to create the North American rankings. The report highlights examples of out-of-the-box lawyering where lawyers have made key contributions to business. It gives the reader an insight into what they can expect from lawyers working at the leading edge of their practices.
